Everything you need to know about renting a dump trailer from Ruggs Rentals.
The trailers
3 questionsRuggs Rentals specializes in dump trailer rentals for projects such as construction, landscaping, property cleanouts, debris removal, and general hauling. We offer two sizes: a 6×10 and a 7×16, both with 4′ high sides.
The 6×10 dump trailer features 4′ high sides, a tarp kit, barn doors, and a 10,000 lb GVWR. A 2 5/16″ ball is required for towing.
The 7×16 dump trailer features 4′ high sides, a tarp kit, barn doors, and a 15,400 lb GVWR. A 2 5/16″ ball is required for towing. It's the right choice for larger construction, landscaping and cleanup projects.

Drop-off and pick-up, plus 1 ton of weight allowance — the same on both the 6×10 and the 7×16. There's no separate delivery fee to work out, and most loads come in under the included ton, so there's usually nothing further to pay.
Most loads come in under the included ton, so there's usually nothing further to pay. If you do go over, it's $175 per ton, billed separately once the debris has been disposed of and based on the weighed weight of the load — so you only ever pay for what you actually threw away.
If you're not sure what your load will weigh, give us a call and describe the job. Heavy material like dirt, gravel and concrete adds up much faster than brush or household junk.
Yes. A $500 security hold is placed on the customer's card. The hold is separate from the rental charge.
Drop-off & towing
3 questionsYes — and both are included in the rental rate, not charged separately. We bring the trailer to your site, place it where you want it, and come back for it when you're done. Same-day drop-off may be available depending on scheduling.
Because drop-off and pick-up are included, most customers let us handle the hauling. If you'd rather tow it yourself, get in touch for a quote and we'll sort out the details with you.
Both trailers require a 2 5/16″ ball. That applies to the 6×10 and the 7×16 alike.
Please make sure your tow vehicle and equipment are appropriate for the trailer before pickup — the 6×10 has a 10,000 lb GVWR and the 7×16 a 15,400 lb GVWR. If you're unsure whether your vehicle is rated for it, call us before you book.
